There are still many people who don’t feel comfortable using the standard Start Menu that Windows 7 offers. An application like Classic Start Menu can prove to be the solution that they require.
Classic Start Menu is a program that will change the appearance of the Windows Start Menu in the hope of providing a more convenient alternative. This application embeds three skins: Vista Aero, Windows Aero and Windows Classic.
An important advantage of Classic Start Menu is that it provides a start menu customization wizard. This will allow you to run the program every time your Windows starts and to determine the search engine that you prefer. Furthermore, another feature that I like is that Classic Start Menu allows you to customize the shortcut keys that you can use in order to control the start menu entries. Since this program is all about the user's comfort, having such a feature is very important.
One of the things that I didn’t like about Classic Start Menu is that you can only sort the entries alphabetically and not by type. This means that your programs' list will look rather untidy with interspersed folders and applications all over the place.
In conclusion, Classic Start Menu is an application that could be worth trying out if you are not satisfied with the standard Windows 7 Start Menu. Although this program isn’t an investment that I actually endorse, many people might have a different opinion.
